Our legal advisor has over twenty years of legal and operations experience counseling charitable and religious organizations on formation and tax-exempt status, governance and personnel issues, executive compensation, charitable giving, and risk management issues.
Our advisor provides pre-litigation counseling to help nonprofits minimize risk and avoid claims. This includes drafting/reviewing personnel policies and handbooks and providing training on sexual harassment prevention, discrimination and other topics of interest to nonprofit leaders, staff and volunteers.
Our legal advisor graduated from UCLA School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1993. She graduated from Tufts University with Honors in Political Science, Class of 1990. She is admitted to practice before all state courts in California as well as the federal district court for the Central District of California. Member of the California State Bar, American Bar Association and California Association of Nonprofits, she is passionate about helping organizations that are doing their part to improve the community and to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
